Something I just realized…
I keep my phone on vibrate 90% of the time. The idea is to keep it from making an obnoxious noise everytime someone calls me (which rarely happens anyway).
The trouble is, though, that whenever my phone vibrates I find myself making an obnoxious noise anyway. Maybe I should just record myself exclaiming “YaWoohoo!” and use [...]
A Really Big Rock
Asking the question: “Can God make a rock so big that He cannot lift it?” does not make God’s existence or the possibility thereof impossible. It simply underlines the impossibility of our understanding Him.
An infinite and divine Being cannot be bound by the reasoning of the creatures He sustains.
Resolutions (some follow-through)
I’m posting this because I thought it might be helpful to people. I posted earlier about how I was doing this and I suggested others do the same. Edwards wrote funny ’cause he lived a long(ish) time ago and was a genius. I thought it might be helpful to see a list from a modern-average-joe, [...]
The question I probably shouldn’t ask…
but I will anyway. If you agree with the popular evangelical thought that God’s given man free will and would be unloving to take it away… Why do we ask for Him to change people’s hearts and save them? Wouldn’t that be unloving?
For the record, I think it is good to plead with God to [...]
This would annoy anyone, right?
I hate it when my paper curls up in a corner. It’s distracting, and I have to hold my hand funny to hold it down. Someone tell me I’m not OCD….
Andrew Kramer is cool, but…
Can’t we have some originality? Youtube is filled with people copying his tutorials. It would be good if people could learn to apply his techniques in different and unique ways.
Granted, I’m no better… but I’m gonna try.
Writing things down…
I’ve decided to start writing more. I don’t mean typing; I mean physically writing things. I’m doing it with Bible study at the moment. It’s helpful because I type so fast I’ll write 500 words in less than 10 minutes. Writing leads to thinking a bit more, since I write so much slower than I [...]
It’s the simple things…
I just thought I’d write a quick post about one of my favorite and most used tools. Pens and pencils are round; their roundness tends to lead to them falling off desks. Cups are round, but they stand up. They’re also hollow and can thus hold pens and pencils. They also hold screws, adapters, and [...]
